Itinerary

Day 1: Casablanca - Marrakech

Arrive in the Mohammed V International Airport & head to the city center where you can visit the Hassan II Mosque. This masterpiece of Moroccan-Andalusian Architectures dominates the horizons of Casablanca & is the third largest mosque in the Islamic World. Have a drive by the Ain Diab Corniche before taking the highway to Marrakech.

Please note that our visit to the Hassan II Mosque depends on your arrival time, that is, if it’s in the morning, then we can included the guided tour of the mosque; otherwise, we can schedule for another tour in 5th or 6th day.

Day 2: Guided Tour of Marrakech

After having breakfast in your Riad/Hotel, your private tour guide will meet up with at around 09:30 am before spending most the day exploring what Marrakech has to offer. You’ll start your tour with a nice drive through the Ville Nouvelle of Marrakech called Gueliz, which was built by the French when Morocco was a French Protectorate from 1912 to 1956. Make a visit to the beautiful botanical gardens of Majorelle that are owned by F.Saint Laurent with its countless varieties of exotic plants and trees. The Majorelle Blue-Color that dominates most of the gardens has been adopted by many well-known artists. You may want to also include a visit to the museum. 

You’ll drive back to the Medina while including a short break by the Koutoubia Mosque, which is the landmark of Marrakech being the tallest minaret in the city to the extent that it can be easily seen from different locations. Your tour guide will teach about the history behind the foundation of the city while shedding light on the 12th century Mosque. Get to the Kasbah District where you’ll include a visit to the Saadian Tombs before having a walk through the intricate alleyways leading us to the impressive Bahia Palace. 

Now, it’s time to explore the Souks (markets) that are organized into sections based on specialty. You’ll end up in the famous Jemaa El-Fna Square, which is the focal point of the city. In the evening, it turns into a carnival filled with musicians, magicians, storytellers, snake charmers, acrobats, fortune-tellers…along with the lined food stalls serving Moroccan delicacies.

Day 3: Marrakech - Ait Benhaddou - Agdz - Zagora

Today, your private driver/guide will pick you from your accommodation in Marrakech at 08 am for an epic adventure down to the Desert of Zagora. Drive through the spectacular High Atlas Mountains with its “Berber” Villages that are basically built in adobe & stones along the river bank offering great opportunities for nice pictures. Cross the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2260 m), then continue on the track to the dramatic & UNESCO listed Ait Benhaddou Village. Have a guided walking tour through the narrow streets of the village revealing countless mysterious secrets. 

Ait Benhaddou Village consists of many Kasbahs (fortresses), which is a striking example of the southeastern architecture. It has been used as a backdrop for shooting national & international films including Lawrence of Arabia, Prince of Persia, Sahara, Gladiator and many others. After lunch, you’ll drive through the majestic Anti-Atlas Mountains offering impressive views, then through the center of Agdz to the palm valley of Draa before reaching Zagora, which is our final destination of the day.

Have a camel ride experience to our desert camp while enjoying the miraculous views of the sunset. Have a nice dinner followed by a time of entertainment before culminating the whole day with a nice sleep in your private tent or under the stars.

Day 4: Zagora - Ouarzazate - High Atlas - Marrakech

Early wake in the morning, you may to enjoy the breathtaking view of the sunrise. Have breakfast and head back to Marrakech through the Draa Valley, Ouarzazate where you can include a visit to the Taorirt Kasbah, Atlas Film Studios. Drive through the High Atlas Mountains while including many breaks for taking pictures or for chilling out. You’ll arrive in Marrakech in the late afternoon.

Day 5: Marrakech - Casablanca

Today, the first half-day is free for you to be on your own as you may want to have another walk within the Medina of Marrakech to further sample its unique ambiance. You may want to go to a Hammam to have a nice scrub, have a cooking class, or just stay in your Riad/hotel enjoying the views and relaxing…In the afternoon, we will drive to Casablanca through the highway.

Day 6: Transfer To The Airport

After having breakfast in your hotel, we will drive to the airport of Casablanca from where you can get back home or to your next destination.

For citizens of many countries, you do not need a visa to enter Morocco. You will receive an entry stamp in your passport upon arrival.

You do not need to apply for a tourist visa for the Morocco Tour if you are a citizen of the United States, Canada, Australia, Great Britain or any of the other countries listed here.

You will need a passport that is valid for six months beyond your stay and a round-trip airline ticket. The passport must have at least one blank page.

If you have US dollars, Euros, or British Pounds, you can exchange money at an exchange bureau upon arrival at the airport or at your hotel but the rate won’t be quite as good as exchange bureaus we’ll find elsewhere. Our guide can help find the best place to exchange your cash for local currency.
